Choosing between two larger Honda scooter families starts with the actual rental machines. Compare the ADV 350 and Forza 350 offers for your dates, then check how each fits your experience, parking and luggage needs.
This is a rental decision checklist rather than a claim of first-hand testing. Model-year equipment and individual condition must be checked with the shop.

Check manoeuvring before planning a long ride
Think about the places where you will start and finish a normal day: the hotel ramp, a narrow parking bay and a stop with a passenger. A larger scooter asks different things of the rider before it ever reaches an open road.
Check that you can move and support the actual machine comfortably. Ask the shop to explain the controls, locking system and supplied keys. If the fit or handling feels unfamiliar, a different transport plan is more useful than choosing solely on engine capacity.
Compare the equipment you will really use
Check storage with your own bags and helmets, and ask about fitted accessories. Confirm any screen, brake or connectivity feature that matters to you. Photographs and specifications from another year should not become a promise about the rental variant.
For two people, establish passenger permission, load limits and two suitable helmets. Do not count on storage space to replace a separate transfer for large suitcases. Your route may also require a different luggage arrangement accepted by the shop.
Agree touring support and return details
An ADV or Forza booking is not automatically permission to travel outside the shop’s rental area. Give the shop your planned towns and overnight stops. Check distance limits, repair authorisation and the support contact you should use.
Agree the return location and appointment before setting off. An extension or a one-way drop-off requires acceptance. If the trip exceeds the standard booking duration, submit the complete dates as a quote request rather than treating a weekly tariff as a monthly offer.
Compare price and possible liability separately
Use identical dates and options to compare rental totals. Then review each refundable deposit and the separate insurance excess and exclusions. A higher deposit is not itself evidence of better insurance, and it should not be assumed to limit every possible damage claim.
Keep a record of the starting condition and accepted terms at handover. The shop must accept the request before collection; payment is arranged directly with it. Choose the offer whose machine and arrangements suit the trip you can actually undertake.
Good questions.
Clear answers.
Which 350 rental is best for the Mae Hong Son Loop?
There is no universal choice. Get route permission and support terms, check the actual machine and match it to your experience and load.
Why might a 350 model show 330cc?
The commercial model name can differ from recorded displacement. The model pages recognise the appropriate family while excluding smaller ADV and Forza variants.
Can I book either scooter for two weeks?
Enter the full dates. A shop may require a quote for a stay beyond its standard booking limit; wait for its price and acceptance.
