Ask about the passenger before booking

Tell the shop that two people intend to travel on the scooter. Ask whether passenger use is accepted under the rental and insurance terms and confirm the vehicle’s load limits. The live selection shows offers to compare; it is not a certification that every scooter suits every pair of travellers.

The rider should already be comfortable with passenger riding on the chosen machine. Check access to the passenger footrests, seating and how the load affects your ability to manoeuvre and stop. Do not choose solely by the cc number.

Arrange two suitable helmets and space for belongings

Check what the listing includes and whether a second helmet is an optional extra. Both helmets need to fit and fasten properly; ask the shop to replace unsuitable equipment before handover. The fact that a helmet is available does not establish its condition or fit.

For arrival and departure, plan another way to move suitcases. Do not rely on carrying a bag between the rider and passenger or on a scooter’s floor area. Keep your daily luggage limited to what can be secured appropriately under the agreed terms.

Price the journey for two without assuming a package

The rental quote is for the selected bike and options. Review any second-helmet charge over the whole date range, along with delivery and the separate deposit. There is no universal two-person package or guarantee that passenger equipment is included.

Confirm the return and handover plan for both people, especially if one person arrives later. A normal booking request needs acceptance; a stay beyond the shop’s standard limit needs a quote. For days when the rider or conditions do not suit the journey, budget for another transport option.
