How the 14-day rental price works

Start with the daily rate multiplied by 14. RideLanna then applies the highest eligible duration discount configured for that bike. A weekly and a fortnightly discount do not stack. If a shop has not configured a fortnightly discount, an eligible weekly discount can still apply.

For an illustration only: a bike at 300 THB per day has a 14-day base of 4,200 THB. With an eligible 10% discount, the bike rental would be 3,780 THB. That is an explanation of the calculation, not a quoted offer; the live examples above use actual listing rates.

Add the charges that are outside the discount

Optional extras priced per day are multiplied by your rental days, without the bike’s duration discount. Selected delivery is added as a separate charge. For example, an optional extra at 20 THB per day adds 280 THB to a 14-day stay.

The refundable deposit is displayed separately from the rental total. Plan for it when arranging payment, but do not add it to a comparison of rental costs as though it were a non-refundable fee. Check the shop’s deposit return conditions.

Use the dates you need, including the return day

Fourteen nights of accommodation do not necessarily produce fourteen rental days. You might arrive late, collect the scooter the next morning or return it before moving hotels. Enter the actual pickup and return dates and review the day count shown in the quote.

Arrange the return time and read late-return terms. If your stay becomes longer, ask for an extension before the existing booking ends. Neither the original discount nor availability automatically carries over to new dates.

One two-week rental or two separate bookings?

A single accepted booking gives you one set of dates and terms to manage. Two shorter bookings could involve a second handover and separate delivery charges or deposits. Compare the complete cost of each arrangement rather than assuming both will be priced alike.

If you plan to leave Chiang Mai during the fortnight, ask whether your route is permitted. Keeping the same scooter for the whole trip depends on the shop’s rental area and conditions, not just paying for additional days.

Quick answers

Is a two-week discount guaranteed?

No. Each shop sets the discounts for its bikes. The quote uses the highest eligible tier, and a listing without a discount remains at its daily rate.

Do weekly and fortnightly discounts add together?

No. Only the highest eligible percentage applies to the bike rental. Extras and delivery are calculated separately.

Is 28 days always cheaper than 14 days?

Not necessarily. A longer booking can reduce the effective daily rate when a discount applies, but you pay for more days. Compare the full total for the dates you actually need.
